Wideband Install

That is true, dont leave the O2 in there without haveing the wideband powered up. It will ruin the O2. Since the innovate is portable, you may want to do like 02denali suggested and just run it thru the door jam. I have used a LM-1 on my truck before and just draped the wire around the mirror and thru the window to get a few logs. May want to try that too unless you want it permantly mounted in your truck.

Yes, I have gutted cats. I'm probably going to try the easy way that BK & 'Nali suggested, because I should only need to get my n-a tune inline.
Alright. So you have to removed the 02 before shutting the power off? What about turning it on "accidently" while the 02 is not in position?
maybe i should just read the directions...
Thanks for the help & tips.

dont run the car with no power to the wideband. a few minutes wont hurt it i am sure but dont just unplug the wires and leave the sensor in there for a month and expect it to work when you hook the wires back up.
i dont think sending power to the wideband with the car off would hurt anything. i often "prefire" my wideband whenever i have a significant tuning change. it helps to get it started.

Cool. I'm gonna do some good reading this afternoon & hopefully have my renewed version sometime next week. So as soon as I figure it all out, come on up.
I'll go ahead and ask a few questions...
P.E. mode is for w.o.t. transitions, correct
P.E. enable is based off of MAP value & rpm
- What exactly is the map values
My P.E. is enabled @ 3200rpm
- Is their any negatives to setting it lower, since I'm on a stock stall & my rpm range is from 2000-6000?
- What is used to calibrate a/f for partial transactions?
Is this where you use open loop?
I really haven't looked into this to much, since I didn't have a wideband.
Thanks for all of the help.

3200 sounds pretty low for NA, but Im not sure as I have mine set to come on as soon as I see boost.
I think most NA guys have it set around 90% throttle or maybe a little sooner, but not sure on rpm
Im not too sure about the rest as Im a noob myself!

A WB sensor is a 5 wire sensor and has a heating element to bring it up to operating temprature. Having it plugged in and not on cause the sensor to foul up. Sometimes you can fix it by taking it out and putting a torch to it for a few seconds to burn off any carbon build up.
As for placement before or after a cat. The "recommended" and "preferred," way is before the cat. However as Parish has mentioned some people have seen virtually no difference. On the factory catalytics for some cars are more efficient and can throw off the readings, with a hi-flow it probably is not an issue. As an FYI, Most OEM's place their 5 wire sensors pre-cat.
