How many miles do you have on it? You might check out your rockers. I've seen them spill out their needle bearings after they get worn down. That would definitely increase the noise level.

But him saying it sounds like a loose chain doesnt seem like it is the nomral valve train noise-like ticks. Ive got ticking but a loose chain that sounds like something is loose! ???

Damnit me too! What the hell is that noise. It does it at just over 1000 rpm and at very light throttle. Drives me freaking crazy and if anyone learns for sure what it is I would definately appreciate knowing. I've heard exhaust straps, pulley's, and timing chain tensioner. Wish I knew which one...

yea it does it when i feather the gas at idle and when decreasing RPMs. it's hard to explain. only ones who also have heard the noise can understand what it is. it's not a ticking or knocking or pinging. it's more of a constant noise instead of a RPM noise. the most likely cause is the timing tensioner.

I can hear my valves rattle at real low RPM in high gear when i run 87-91 octane. My exhaust is kinda loud but i can still hear it over the exhaust.

Yeah, mine does it too. I had to get a damn supercharger to drown out the noise!

Uh could it be the converter or somehting else with the tranny. Those converter bolts come loose sometimes.
