will a CAM ONLY 5.3l run 10's....???

is this a purely track car? something with some time between runs? reason i say is and i dont mean to insult your intelligence if your used to running alcohol cars but you could if you wanted, not run a cooling system. driving the car to the line, burnout, race and return with no rad, water pump, any of that, just a motor filled with water would do you fine. we have seen temps actually drop on the return road. Jet it a little fat, alky tends to be a lot more forgiving then gas and it cools the motor a LOT!

it is a tube chassis TRACK ONLY car and ALCOHOL is ALL we run in the race cars (we have 4)

Without a balancer you may have issues at high rpm with bearing life. How are you going to seal the front crank seal? If you end up doing a budget build find some used 4.8L pistons, mill the 862's .030, add a set of used LS6 intake valves, and port them to the limit. Fun project you have there.

i am sure it will do it though, 5.3's are pretty dam stout

FIRST PAS WAS MADE TODAY!!!

60ft.......1.45
1/8et......6.62
1/8mph...102
1/4et......11.40
1/4mph....76

the car is geared for the 1/4 but he let out at the 1/8 just feeling the car out... more passes coming TODAY!!!
