Will a ported or LS6 oil pump increase oil pressure??

Default Will a ported or LS6 oil pump increase oil pressure??
Since my new engine was built pretty loose my oil pressure is down some. It is still at a good range but was wondering if a ported oil pump or LS6 pump would bring it up some? It seems like I have seen some say it didn't do them any good. I dont care to spend the money on one for nothing.

The ported/shimmed pump will. It will probably be around 55-60PSI at idle and 70-80 at cruise. The shims in the check valve is what changes the running PSI.

we were just discussing this in the other LS6 Thread. I think in your situation a ported pump would be a great addition.
