Will reverse Split Cam "help" the truck intake for higher RPMs?
Since the truck intake was primary designed for more torque than HP, Would a reverse split cam help the top end of the RPM range?
I wouldn't expect it to be the fix all for the truck intake, but was wondering if I was going to buy a cam, should I consider this to gain a few more HP on the top end.
Has anyone ever done any testing?
Bill

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to tutor you... I'm just a 'reverse split' fan. It's your fault for saying those two words.
Given a certain sized intake lobe, you'll need more exhaust lobe to gain higher RPM power. It's no different than the F-bod stuff. From the way it's looking, the truck intake is just an even larger restriction than the LS6 mani.
But, it's a good topic. Think about this.
You've seen how the reverse split stuff works, I'm sure.
Now, take a vehicle that has a lower operating range, is heavier, and has an even larger intake restriction.
What kinda cam does it need, given the same 'other' parts as a F-body? What areas of the operating range need to be improved and broadened?
RPM is definetly the ticket but, if your sticking with the Truck intake you might as well improve the areas it is capable of handling...
