Default Will a stock fan shroud work with a 34" radiator?

I'm tired of having to keep a close eye on my ECT's when towing, and I keep burning out relays in my fan harness, so I'm thinking about going back to a clutch fan. Am I going to have to change back to a 27" radiator or will the 34" one work?

i dont see why it wouldnt, you could always double check the part # with one from a 6.0 truck with a clutch fan and shroud. i'd bet there the same.

you have to have two extra bolts like the ones that are holding the radiator in to the core support, the bottom of the fan shroud will just drop right in to the groove at the bottom of the radiator.

So there are no tabs on the sides on the shroud? That is what I was concerned about.

I would just use some bolts with aircraft nuts with washers to go through where the push pins go and call it good. Either that or see if you can track down a fan shroud out of an HD truck.

I still have my stock radiator. I dont know if its a 34" or not. My truck runs right at 200*. I see most posting temps in the 180-190's. Do you measure straight across or diagonal? Trying to figure out how to cool it down a little. Stock T-stat as well.

Hell no that stat wont cure it. I am in the same situation and I was talking to Todd (vanilla gorilla) and he said that he is having the same problem in the heat.

Why dont you keep the 34" and if you have to buy a fan shroud for the 34" But I think that the stock one should work.

Then why did my temps drop from 210ish down to 170-180ish?
