Default Will this Torque Converter work?

I saw this in the classifieds, how would this baby work on a 2002 Z71/5.3l/3:73 gears? I think it just may be the ticket. I was thinking 3000 stall but will a 3200 stall be too much?

"I'm selling a 3200 stall for a 4L60E Tranny. 500+ Shipping. Great Condition Like new bearly refreshed from PI. No more than 4K miles on the verter and this is NOT my Daily Driver. I paid 834+TAX+Shipping. Let me know if anyone wants it."

If it's a Vig 3200, it will stall around 3400-3500 behind a 5.3L. It also has a small 9" clutch. If towing is not a big concern you may want to consider it. Just make sure it's a Gen III motor converter ('99 and later truck, '98 and later F-Body) C-5 converters will not work.

Skip it, it will feel very loose and can't tow crap with it. PI are very inefficient converters and create a bit more heat too.

If you do get it, make sure it has the 33 spline input shaft. I think then GM went to the GENIII motors they also changed the 4L60 an 4L80's up to the higher spline count.

What if you never tow/haul anything. I always see you guys talking about towing. I live in southern cali and the biggest thing I have hauled is a small couch, other than that chairs, other little stuff, etc. but only for a short distance. 99.9% of the time theres nothing back there.
What TC should/can I get for best out-of-the-hole performance without risking any damage?

The Mexican, did you get a torque converter, which one?

This is the one for the trucks huh?

"YANK TRUCK THRUSTER 3000 (4.8, 5.3L only) (278 mm, 3000 stall, 2.21 STR, 98.6% efficiency!) $750. This converter is a modified Truck Thruster 2600. Being so, it shares the stock-like appearance, super-high efficiency, and impressive towing capacity of its lower stall brother. This is the most aggressive converter for the Truck and SUV enthusiast who still wants to maintain their full factory towing capacity. You should expect your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times to drop .5 seconds!"

If you never tow anything, a small diameter converter in a heavy vehicle on the street sucks. It is loose, creates heat, and just isn't the most enjoyable. I ran a 9.5" PI in a 4400lbs car once, it was crappy just cruising around.

The Yank 3000 is the one I'd go with...and still may depends on if I go with a DMax powered 2500HD around years end.
