i'm changing my lights wiring harness {02 gmc} so i can have fog lights.....one off shoot with plug goes to a little thing in front of the radiator.....what exsactly is that little thing? auto headlight sensor?....thanks

Thats my guess but I don't know.
Do you have the temp guage on your rear view mirror?

I'm not sure if it's the same way on the 02 silverado's. But on mine, my auto headlight sensor is on top of the dash near the front window. Don't know about the "thing" in front of the radiator though.

yeah i have temp in rearview.......maybe thats what it is?

 

Its an outside air temp sensor (OAT). Its used by the rearview mirror and HVAC (heat & air conditioning).
