Default Wonderin how high I can turn my 5.3 safely.

Im currently turnin 6200 at shifts and rev limiter set at 6500 feels like it still has some power up there. Wonderin how high I can go safely.

I would keep it below 7k with stock rod bolts...

"Safe" is such a subjective term. If you really want to keep it "safe", keep it stock.

If you want to find out what will make it fastest, take it to the track. Bump it up 100 rpm each run, find out where it falls off, and run the **** out of it. But don't complain when you pass the "safe" limits and break something.

Turn it till it makes loud noises or blows up, then shift it right before that..

I wouldn't turn it more than say 6800 with stock rod bolts..

stock cam i'd say 6200-6300. Cammed I'd start bumping it up.
I shift 6500
