Worth it to try another tune?
Right now, I have a wait4me tune which I have had zero problems and noticed and increase over my old hypertech but I still think there is more on the table. The truck is pretty fast to be as heavy as it is but it is a dog off the line, can tuning make my truck launch harder, maybe i need less tq mgmnt or something i dunno but I was considering trying a wheatley tune or a nelson tune to see if they can make any more power. What do yall think, should i be able to powerbrake with the mods I have and should i be fast of the line? I know i could use a stall but thats not gonna happen any time soon. I plan on buying some asp pulley's and thats about the last bolt on I have.

have you tried sending it back to jesse and have him make adjustments more to your liking? it would suck to spend the money on someone else's tune for only marginal results or none for that matter.

Always see if your tuner will fix it, but if you want to give another tune a try then give Wheatley a try. I switched to him after trying Wait4Me and it was a nice difference in performance and feel. It just drove overall better, and even had a better torque curve on the dyno.

lurius, did charlie do yours in person or a mail order tune? Did you send yours back to wait4me before you went to the wheatley? Does anybody have any dyno numbers from the the different tuners....nelson,westers,wait4me,wheatley?

Naw, I dident send it back to wait4me. I just had Charlie tune over it lol. He did tune it in person at a group meet, but I haven't heard anything bad about his tunes through the mail. Swing over to Chevytruckworld.com(Mods: Not a merchant, just another forum!) and look in any of the performance forums, every has great things to say about his tuning, plus hes a great guy.

I don't know about your tune, but what you're asking for would be best served by a performance torque convertor. Those are tall tires and with only 4.10's you don't have a great overall effective ratio. The right convertor will act like you've added 60 h.p.
