Default Which would help me the most on the street-Gears or Stall?

Which of these would help me out the most on the street? Which one would provide the most traction?

-Stock 3.42s w/ Yank 2400 stall

-Stock 3.42s w/ Yank 2600 stall

-3.73 gears

-3.90 gears

I also don't want to sacrifice that much top-end. I really need the added low-end of either gears or stall. Please help me make my mind up!

Go with 4.10s and a Yank 3000,you'll have a big improvement in accelaration, you'll love the improved throttle response at highway speeds and your top speed[about 129mph at 5800rpm]will be about the same. You'll lose about 1 mpg on the highway and may even improve your mpg in town as long as you can keep your foot out of the gas.

Out of the options youlisted, I would have to go with the 2600 but recomend the 3000. But since you are still running the stock limited slip diff, Gears and a posi may be a good investment. Btw... 3.73, eaton, and Yank 3000 = nice out of the hole.

I wouldn't drop the trans for anything less than the 2600. But Id recommend the 3000.

I'd do the stall first, then decide if you want gears. You'll definately want a posi after, but I'll bet you won't want gears after a stall.

go for the 3000 stall. keep the gears. you can easily upgrade the gears if you are not satisfied with the hole shot after the TC install. i know traction is an issue. i think you will like the yank3000. and with the 3.42's, posi, and good tires, you should have good traction. with the 3.73's you might spin them loose more than you would like at WOT from a complete stop. some may disagree. i guess it depends on what tires you are running
