Right now my truck is sluggish until ~2000 rpms. When it gets to ~2400-2500 rpms, it starts pulling hard until the redline. Thats why I want the 2600 stall, I figure it would pull hard out of the hole with out spinning TOO much. The 3000 is too much for me, I want to feel some of my lower rpms working.

What I mean was; I'll get the stall first and later get the eaton and gears.
Get a 3000 and don't go more than 3.73s
I just don't see you getting any traction if you go 4.10s and a 3000 stall.
If you don't care about traction, then get 4.10s

3.73 and 2800 vig ( and an Eaton Posi)= no traction problems, just a slight wheel spin from the line. truck rockets off the line.

Hey BADMOFO, where do I get the GM posi additive stuff? I'm thinking the dealership, just making sure though. By the way, what does it do? Thanks.

I've got 53,000 miles on my truck and haven't had the rear end or transmission fluid changed yet, will that hurt anything? I'm fixing to get it changed in a week or so.

order the TC and when the place does the install for ya, they will be adding all new ATF since they have to drop the tranny. don't worry about the gear oil. i installed my Eaton less then 2 weeks ago and the gear oil looked good after 56,000 miles. you will be changing that later too if you decide on gears and Eaton.

i still say go for the 3000 not the 2600

Either one would prolly be great. I just put the 2600 yank in and it works awesome! 3000 seemed a little much for a big truck just my .02 Install of the TC is easy as hell and if you can do it yourself you can save the money and get and eaton. In 2wd it is super easy to spin all the way through first and I can chirp all 4 in 4wd.
