Yep! When I clean my K&N it has a big black spot where that air hits it from the ram-air tube... I have driven this setup in pouring rain and never had a problem with water getting in the intake... One of these days I will redo it with steel pipe, it is kinda embrassing everytime my truck gets put on a lift...

Heck, I've just got flexible drain hose run for mine - doesn't embarrass me in the least. Actually I've had several postive comments! One thing I do want to do though is fab up a better scoop for the tow hook opening.

I don't know how much difference it really makes performance wise, but you can see a real difference on IATs. After parking for a bit I can easily have IATs in excess of 125. Before the tube it would take forever for the temps to drop back under 100 - now it's usually before I'm out of the parking lot.

I agree, it helped my IATs alot, however I might have gained a small-hill-billy-sized-butt-hair worth of performance out of the scoop, and that is only at 60+.....

Anyone have a pin hole drain in their ram tubing or do you not worry about any moisture. I guess as long as you always have some slope downwards you should be ok as it won't really be able to make its way all the way up the hose into the airbox.

No, the 1/4" or so thick stuff directly behind the headlight. I'll snap a pic a little later and post it up.

ahh, I think I know what you are talking about with the the foam, it's that black flimsy stuff behind the headlight, I woudl be curious to see the airbox cut though.

Ps. sorry for bumping an old thread.
