Awesome Dan. I hope you provide us with some dyno #'s after you do some changes to your tuning. I am getting tempted to do another swap and get a TR 224 on a 112lsa aswell.

Ok, ok, ok, I didnt get home last night untill 3:00AM
took 10 1/2 hours to do the complete swap.
I changed out the push rods, swapped the 1:85 rockers back to stock.
which there is another story there
swapped springs, Retainers, Oil pump, and timing gears, and chain.
I'm thinking I'm gonna have to go back into it and change out the lifters, cause of the damage the 1:85 rockers did to the push rods.
to give you an idea.... the stock push rods are a softer metal than the comp guide plates. well when I swapped rockers awile back I didnt change out the push rods. well the guide plates chewed the hell out of the pushrods. we think the rods where actually hanging up, robbing me of some HP. and I had noticed here lately that the truck just wasnt up to par. but I kept telling myself it was just me and there was nothing wrong....
Boy was I WRONG.....
Glad I did this swap now
I will post picks of the push rods, and I also need to see if I can get about 3-4 vids hosted for me, so that there aren't any problems seeing these vids?
anybody want to donate alittle space?
I will go out side and take one more vid of the truck at idle.
it sounds about the same when driving around town but it's the idle I like
(thinking to self) "how to get the truck to drive at idle speed?....hmmmm?..LOL

oh and I can't stress enough. the truck just sounds mean as hell

What size cam did you put in the truck again. I put a lunati 558/558 lift 221/221 duration and it sounds pretty good.

2002 GMC sierra 4.8 3.73, whipple, headers, lunati cam, and nelson tune.

01 thunder you said it took 10.5 hours to do the complete swap. Did you take the heads off? Or did you use the lifter tool that holds the lifter up? I was told it took 1-3 hours!
