thanks for the pic's, seems like this is just to easy of a fix for a problem that has been around for awhile. there must be some drawbacks or a good job of keeping it secret.

I think the main drawback would be getting it tuned correctly.

Here's a screen shot of my car idling with the stock MAF:




Then I switched in 1900 ohms (a pretty mild change) and look what the LTRIMS do after a few seconds.




This is all at idle which doesn't mean a whole lot, but I think it shows that some pretty good re-tuning will be needed to get it dialed in correctly.
Should be worth it though, to avoid maxing the MAF!
