I honestly like the sound of duals h or y. Although it may not be as benifical, HP wise. I do like to be different though. I think I'd get some price quotes first then decide from there. I might be in the market for duals in the near future.

Larger diameter Y-Pipe works well, an H-Pipe is better and gives a deeper bass note and the x-pipe is great for improved overall power. Most of this depends on budget for your entire system and what your looking to gain from your exhaust. If you just want sound keep it original with high flow mufflers. For peak horsepower (ie bigger tires) use the x-pipe for faster scavenging.

so i dont think i thought my exhaust system through enough. i got a y setup with cutout into single 3". it sounds good with the lt headers and cam through an open cutout, but later i want to do a cammed 6.0 and i think my exhaust is gonna be restrictive. so my advice is if your planning on big cubes or FI, extensive mods, etc....go either 3.5-4" y pipe with cutout, or dual 3" from the start. Im not a ford fan but i really like how most mustang exhaust sounds.....sorry
