Default Yank is installed

Had to work today...we close the shop at 2 on saturdays,so my friend Mark stayed after worked and installed my yank tt3000,with a little help from me,okay, very little <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />
Any way,you really dont notice it,feels normal once the converter locks up.However,if your driving at slow speeds, like 25-30 and the coverter is not locked up,you will notice it for sure when you go to accell.Rpm's go up to 2500 or more, takes noticable more throttle to get it moving in that situation.Yank reccomends a 150 mile break in period before any WOT runs.I'll post back after the break in and tell ya'll how it feels. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Yeah..i can tell it's gonna be a blast. Not sure about when i'll get to the track.Maybe one weekend this month.Heck ,i need to go sometime,so i know where i stand and what i need to work on.
Are you changing gears as well,or just adding the eaton?I hope you get it before next weekend.I'm anxious to see what time you turn with the converter. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I am going to keep the 3.73's in unless there is something wrong with them...if there is...then I will go with 4.10's. How is the 4.10's with the Whipple?

The 4.10's feel good...i'm glad i went with them.I don't think traction will be my friend, but that will just give me a reason to buy some slicks or et streets <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Ranwalk - Its about time you dump that 4.8 for a 6 liter. Actually, I'd like to see someone with a supercharger run a true LS1 block with a set of 6L heads on top. Should be a good FI setup with a cooler running aluminum block and 100 lbs less weight.

I know someone who just got a replacement LS1 brand new under warranty. It has 1000 miles on it.

I just got back from taking a drive...trying to ge to that 150 mile mark(i have no patience <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> )
The dang check engine light came on and the truck felt like it was stuck in 2nd gear.Luckily i had a scan tool with me from work and pulled over to check codes.Had a solenoid b,circuit stuck code,or somthing like that.Should have written it down.Cleared the code and everything is fine for the moment.I remember somthing like this happening to GMCSKI.Could this be a real problem or is it a matter of pcm/adaptation??
Hey BIGTEX...if i hear one more time that i should pull out the 4.8......i might just do it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> If finances support it,i might do an engine swap one day.I kinda wanna see what this little 4.8 can be made to do though.I know it can't be the fastest, but it can be fast <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
