Yank TT3200
I would like your poinions on putting a Yank Truck Thruster 3200 stall 2.7 STR in my reg. cab Z71.I have 285/75R16 BFgoodrich all terrain tires.I also tow a 2000 lb. boat during the summer.Do you think I will have any problems with it.Thanks guys in advance.

I went from a TT3000 to a TT3200 and I would say unless you are a dedicated racer who is at the tracks often, I would stay with the TT3000. Especially with the towing, a TT3000 is more than enough for a daily driver. Even with my tall wide tires & posi rear-end, I lose traction at launch so when I swap out my tranny I will go back to the TT3000.

I'll back these guys up. The TT3000 is pretty good. If you want more, I'd look into the multi disk Precision converters. Several 2800 vig users really like them in their trucks. The pi2800 stalls more than the tt3000 I think.

I talked to someone at yank about this very same dilemna except my boat is around 4000lbs and he said to stick with the TT3000 even tho I only tow it to the lake and back once each way. Im putting it off until I get to drive a truck with a stall.

The reason I was asking I got a deal on a converter from my friend for $200.I helped him to purchase it and he sold his truck.I know he has used it to tow a 4000lb boat before, but he had it in a 2WD with 3.42 and it acted fine.My 4WD has 3.73 and I will only tow a 2000lb boat once in a while.
