Default yellow ls6 springs enough?

With a gt2-3 cam and the maggie do the yellow ls6 springs have enough spring force. I was going with them since they were designed with GM's durability testing and I don't want to add spring to the list of things to change when i change the oil.

How about PRC duals? Do they have longjevity on their side?

On a side note... can I keep the stock locks and retainers?

The gaksets I need are the front cover, and two water pump seals..and rtv for the valve covers?

The LS6 springs should be a perfect match for that Lingenfelter cam, and you can re-use your stock locks and retainers. The valve covers use rubber gaskets also, and the crank bolt is a one time use torque to yield bolt that should be replaced. Some of our sponsors such as SDPC sell cam install kits that come with all of the necessary gaskets, the crank seal, and crank bolt

So even with the boost the yellow ls6 springs will be ok? And by ok I mean will last 80k miles... 918's will last 40k so if the ls6 springs won't last much longer, I'd just get the assurance of the 918's

The application chart on Lingenfelter's site show's that cam as a turbo/supercharger camshaft, and the cam and springs are available as a package...I thought that the LS6 springs are what Lingenfelter recommends for that cam. As for longevity, I'd think that the LS6 springs would definitely last longer than the brittle Comp 918's.

Hopefully there's some boosted guys running that cam around here that can chime in...

Lingenfelter said its ok, but it seams here and on ls1 tech there is a lot of oppoistion to using the ls6 springs. Yet I've tried to find threads about people breaking them while under boost and I haven't come up with any.

I know it comes up all the time about the match up of the LS6 springs and the GT2-3, but that's what Lingenfelter recommended so that's what I used in mine. I explicitly asked LPE about the pushrods and they said they always use the stock pieces. I installed the cam and springs when I had a little over 50K on my truck; I have over 113K supercharged miles on it now. I don't believe it would be a bad idea to upgrade to hardened pushrods while you’re in there though. I'm always considering on whether or not going with a little more aggressive cam, but then I think about my truck being a daily driver that runs pretty damn good as is.

Its good to se you have a very similar setup to me and are still trucking along after so many miles. How are you getting so fast with the radix? You pulley it down and use a shot of nitrous?

2.8 pulley, 4.56 gears, FLT LVL 5, TT3000 stall, a better rear carrier, meth and tunning within an inch of it's life. We just retuned it a couple of weekends ago for a 75 shot, but haven't been to the track yet to see what it'll do (feels good though).

Yes, the C3's came with the regular 10 bolt, instead of the Dana 60 like the Quadrasteer's got. Even though the G80 lived longer being AWD, it finally succumbed. A turd is a turd!
