Talking Yes I have a cam question, but its good, i hope

So i know cams like a 220/220 are good on drive-ability, and that something like a 220/224 split is good for juice, and that something with a larger split is good for forced induction applications. I know that the exhaust duration and lift is what affects street manners the most and the sound.

But what about reverse split cams I've done some researd but haven't really dug anything good up

Overlap affects street manners and sound, and cams with long intake durations and tight LSA's have a lot of overlap

As for reverse split cams, in a nutshell, they're good when your exhaust way outflows your intake...there's more to it but that's the general idea.

Actually the increased lift helps with idling and makes tuning easier, supposedly....

IMO it is not the cam that gives you idling problems, it is a small diameter torque converter.... I ran basically stock idle settings with a 220/220 and 222/224 cam but when i added the 9.5 TC i had to mess with alot of other idle tables....

No he didnt, he said "overlap", which is a result of duration and LSA. He skipped your in between step and went right to the end result.
