Im very very happy with my bolted 5.3. In compairison to the daily driver it was and most people my have, my 2000 GMC RCSB 2wd truck would be, its my toy and on the street its a monster against moslty anything on the street especialy for a 4200 pound truck. UNTIL I LOG IN TO THE FORUM haha, I havent ran the 1/4 mile with it yet, but it seems i get a little overly agressive when it comes to being content with what i have. The fully built race over sprayed 5.3 guys guys and the built 6.0 guys make me forget my truck is kinda quick haha. When the majority of the world thinks my truck is the ****, it seems like enough and more then enough power then i need, i log on to the forum and my setup is ever enough. Anyone else in my boat? haha, HP is like a drug.

I think im pretty stout and here are my specs for a guy who doesnt really race at the track i think im sitting ok, haha.

You have a pretty NICE setup man!! I hear you LOL! Nobody in town has NBS trucks like mine with my kind of setup and everyone likes my truck.. You might be hitting low 13's or maybe high 12's! Just deal with traction issues and you are good to go!

I'm not happy with shitty traction and the lack of torque with LS motors.

You shouldn't have a lack of traction and a lack of torque at the same time.

Get one of these and have all the torque you are missing out on, and have WAYYY less traction at the same time!

Pretty sweet waffle iron

I like my 4.8 being bolted... I'm guessing if it weren't it would come off the engine mounts unless the exhaust is all thats needed to hold it in place...

I started with a 4.8 and was not satisfied..I went right to a H/C bolted LS1 and still miss the instant torque of my old 04 Radix'd SSS...But the high rpm power of my current motor is unreal...as soon as I can get a better trans/stall combo I will go to a 22x/.58x cam and turn it up a bit...

-If I got a GMT900 I think I would leave the longblock alone as you have the 799 heads and 90mm intake..good platform imo
