Before you spend the money, try to get together with a buddy that has logging software, or if you have it and log your MAP sensor. At key-on, engine-off, see what the reading is. then read it a WOT. IF you see any vacuum or a number significant lower than your initial key-on engine-off then you need more intake. If not leave it alone, a bigger intake will not help you out.

Schedule 10 PVC has a thinner wall by far, however it still insulates very well. SCh40 pvc is very thick walled.
