Your Ideal Setup?
If you had your pick of any modern GM style body + any GM motor/tranny what would you go with & why? Your ultimate performance setup..

Also I ask this because I'm still debating if I want to custom build something or just go with an SS in the near future. So I'm just examining what people like and what's feasible.

just talking the truck itself then id go with an 04 2500hd rcsb with a 2wd/torsion bar/6.0/4l80e/14 bolt/rear discs. engine wise something along the lines of what others have said: twin turbo, lsx block, big cubes, meaty cam, progressive nitrous, four-link.

i personally would like to do a LSX-block 454 with a Whipple 3.3L backed with a built 4L80e and 2400 stall and a built 9.5" 14-bolt SF rear. 150 shot off the line. all sitting in a 99-06 rcsb 4x4. completely streetable and should turn a low 10sec. under the right conditions.
realistically though, id like to have a 03-06 rcsb 4x4 dropped 6/8( 2wd 4/6 height) with a forged 370 and Magnuson TVS 2300 blower pushing about 12-15psi with a built 80e and 14bolt and be able to turn an 11sec. slip and be absolutely streetable
