Gains = 20 rwhp

Idle like stock unless your tune is leaning it out at idle. I learned that by searching on here and watching a guys videos..chopped like hell and didnt know why. Checked the tune..it was lean. Tuned it and idles like stock.

I am also doing this swap into my 5.3L soon. I have the cam and springs just gotta get a motor that doesnt have 275,000 miles on it. Anyways, I chose this because I doesnt require a tune, it was a cheap upgrade, and it will not chop and tell folks what you got. Also when a truck/car is camming like hell , people expect it run to like hell. Stock idle...but quicker than stock = money maker.

Must do springs, You can use everything else stock. You can find them for sale all day for pretty good deals. In fact I found a cam with springs on sale here for $125 right after i paid $250 for mine.

Check LS1Tech and you can easily find several for sale for cheap.

Push rods are a good idea also as the zo6 cam has a smaller base circle.

betwwen the 2 LS6 cams, which one will be the best for a stock trans. Maybe a servo will be added on mine. This is my dd so I cant sacrifice the trans. How will these cams, work with a cai, and a tune be?? Outcome wise. Lookin to get some more out of my 5.3.

Most people opt for the newer version. I love my 212/218 lowlift. Almost doesnt have a chop... There are cheap packages like mentioned before. I bought my LS6 Cam and springs for 225 shipped. I kept the springs and went with the bigger cam.
I have the LS6 cam for sale. PM me if interested.
