Default 2008 Corvette 823's + L92 Truck Intake Assembly

I picked up some Wiseco pistons off the forum today so it looks like I'm going to build up my 2001 ZO6 shortblock instead of bolting these on my LQ9.

These 823's are off a 2008 Corvette with 3404 miles on it. They have hollow stem 2.16 intakes and 1.59 exhaust (solid I believe. They might be the sodium filled but I couldn't find any info supporting that claim) valves and yellow ZO6 springs. I haven't cleaned them up at all and the look almost new. They include the correct offset intake rocker arms, exhaust rocker arms and pedestals. They are un-molested and supposedly flow 330/202 at .600" (according to the GM catalog). They only fit 4.00"+ bore LS blocks so they won't work for the 4.8/5.3/5.7l's. $650 shipped. Sold!

The intake is off a 2008 L92 crate motor that was fired up, dyno'd and dismantled. It is essentially brand new. It includes the fuel rail, injectors, 90mm Throttle Body and MAP sensor. You would need to pick up a Dr X TB adapter to make this plug-n-play on L92/LS3 heads. $250 shipped. SOLD

If somebody is interested in the entire package, I'm asking $950 shipped.

Thanks, Rick

Thanks for the offer but I just sold a pair of 243's. I'm going to run with some 317's.

Thanks, Rick

Are those heads proven on gen III motors? My dyno guy said he had a guy come in, LS2 GTO, put on some L92s and made no more power over the 243s. I'd guess the cam was off, but who knows.

if he didn't swap the cam then that was his problem.

I'd be very surprised that he didn't pick up any power with a swap from 243's to L92's. The L92 camber is larger (70cc vs 65cc) so you would loose about half a point of compression but they flow 15%+ better. This guy swap his LS2 heads for L92's (milled .030 to make the chamber the same cc) and used his stock cam. 415 rwhp/ 407 rwtq. He was using the L76 car intake but it is still apples to apples. The thread is from mid 2007 but you get the idea:

http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthr...ht=tristar+l76

Car Craft took a stock LQ4 (carbed, not fuel injected) with a GM Hot cam and added L92's and a slightly larger Comp Cam and picked up 68 HP (at the flywheel).

Thanks for the offer on the swap but I would like to sell these to fund the forged shortblock. I'd like to see how 15-16 lbs of boost feels vs the 10 lbs I run now

Thanks, Rick
