What are you putting the cam in? A heavy assed fourdoor with a 4.8L would need a converter upgrade. 5.3L in an reg cab or ext cab wouldn't need a higher stall speed converter unless it was a 4x4 with tall tires. 6.0L in anything wouldn't need one. A stall is not necessary in most cases, but would add a bunch to the package. Springs are absolutely necessary, and pushrods would be advisable.
