those pinless pistons what do they prevent ? also can they be installed without pulling the trans

The two main advantages of these pistons are 1) they're made of aluminum as opposed to plastic, which the factory ones are and are prone to cracking which will leak fluid/pressure, and 2) the factory ones can leak where the pin goes through the piston and these prevent that from happening. I'm 99% sure that you don't have to pull the trans, but you may have to drop the valve body.

I bought these to install into my trans, then it blew before I had the chance to lol

These are a great upgrade. You dont need to remove the trans. Just the valvebody. It'd be really easy to do when doing a shift kit at the same time.

Thanks man, that was actually my plan, I was going to get a Transgo HD2 and do this all in one shot
