I do have a question though. Isn't one of the purposes to site to prevent people from making mistakes that others have made? If someone is going to buy a throttle body spacer on here from member for $100 it makes me feel bad to see that. But we cant warn them. But, in the other forums we bash the throttle body spacers and call them paper weights. Its true, we could PM a buyer and tell them but not all buyers post, some go straight to PM with the seller. It kinda seems like this is only protecting the seller.
I haven't to my knowledge, ever bashed a seller's thread, and have no plans to. Im just saying, from a buyer's point of view, it could be helpful.

I understand how you feel, having a grey line to when you can "bash" and when you can't is imossible though. So, it is easy to pay respect to waaaaaaay more legit sellers than the very few screwballs. There are just too many opinions on what is a good deal and what isn't.
Me personally, if I see a classified that fits the rules, but has an obvious asshat selling a crappy part for an onscene amount, I'd PM anybody showing interest in the thread. If I cared that much. Ofcourse as you say, some go straight to PM and miss out on your warnings. Unfortunate, but hopefully they will post their crappy experience with the seller and call out for it to be taken care of. I promise ya, if you want to be part of this pt.net community, one thing is for sure...you can't be screwing people over and then not handle it when you get called out. In all actuality, the classified thread off topic posts are usually stupid and no help at all. Just someone's opinion about something being too expensive. How'd you like it if you started your own thread and tried to sell your wheels and every other post was someone saying that's waay to expensive, I know someone who has them or I have them cheaper. This is the crap that happens 99.9% of the time. Those people need to stay out of your classified thread. Simple. I hear ya though when every blue moon a TB spacer for 100 bucks pops up.
