!!!FORGED!!! rotating assembly
figured i would start a new post since i just clarified that this is a forged set up the pistons are custom[] standard ls1 bore to make 11:1 compression with a 64cc head(243s) and the crank is a Callies crank with a 3.185 stroke and 1.888 rod journals(nascar style) and the rods are Lentz with CARR bolts this assembly will destroke your ls to a 5.0
this setup with P&Pd 243s 64cc 11:1 compression with a 248/248 590/590 made 540hp in a restricted class with a big ugly truck manifold the 78mm version
so a good set of high flowing heads(i have a set)
a nice cam
and a better than stock intake you could have a hoss of a motor
will take 800 plus shipping obo
feel free to call
att:423-258-8510
verizon:423-608-3530
with any questions

I am sure that is with a high end valvetrain though. I would be surprised if those guys are running GM valvetrain components. IMO, you would need T&D or Jesel rockers to take advantage of this setup and rev it up to about 8500 rpm Would make a sweet setup though for sure!

they use solid lifters standard size not the huge one that u have to bore the lifter holes for and im bout to have the valvesprings they use with a set of titanium retainers shaves for weight
i think they use jesels shaft rockers and there rev limiter is set at 7k so thats why the guy sad the can make so much more is because without the rev it will turn 8500 like nothin
ok so i was planning on going with the new caddy hydraulic lifters there good to 8k

so are you not going to use these? I keep reading your posts and thought you indicated you were building the 5.0?
It will be fun to see what the motor does with these parts...

piston rod and pin weigh 8ounces less than a 5.3 rod piston and pin
so that would be like 10-12 ounces for a ls1 piston pin and rod
but using 8ounces time 8cylinders=4 pounds shaved of of your rotating mass
