Default FS: The Ultimate Radix H/E Upgrade

This is the ideal Radix heat exchanger upgrade for those people with a full size Chevy or GMC. It consists of a very large Fluidyne H/E unit and two Perma-Cool fans that bolt right onto the H/E core. I purchased all of the pieces new, and except for a few bent fins on the Fluidyne unit (be careful when test fitting!), all components are as new.

This Fluidyne heat exchanger unit was actually made for the Lightning, but with some bracket fabrication it will bolt right between the frame rails of most GM trucks, with about 1/2" in to spare. I've had the unit between the frame rails of my Avalanche and it fit.

The H/E dimensions are: 25-3/8" Long x 3-1/2" Deep x 8-1/4" High. The depth of the heat exchanger element itself is 3-1/2", which is twice as thick as even the upgraded Radix unit. The connectors stick out another inch, and there is a flat mounting plate on the bottom with 5 holes that also sticks out an inch, making the depth 4-1/2" in some places.

The fans are "pull" type fans and mount behind the heat exchanger, keeping them away from debris and the elements. You can wire in relays to make the fans come on at a certain temp, or you can wire the fans to be on all the time, it is up to you. With the fans running 100% of the time you will likely be able to run more timing than you would if you only had a passive heat exchanger.

I prefer to sell all pieces together, but if after a week they do not sell together, I will consider selling them separately. Personally, if you're going to do the upgrade, it makes sense to do it all at once. There is a member over at SilveradoSS.com who installed this exact setup...you can read how he performed the install right here.

New pricing for each of the pieces is as follows:

Perma-Cool Fans: $65.88 x 2 = $131.76
Fluidyne H/E FHP30-LIGHTNING = $449.00
----------------------------------------
TOTAL OF UNITS = $580.76

I am giving Performance Trucks members a chance to pick these units up before I put them up on EBay this Sunday. I will let all items go for $475 shipped. That's like getting the fans almost for free.

Like I said, I'd like to see if anyone wants the fans and H/E together. The fans aren't much good by themselves.

If it doesn't work out that the pieces sell together, I will post in this thread when I decide to sell the pieces separately.

Onyx, you can have the H/E for $385 shipped.

The fans will go for $50 shipped each - 04Black gets one, 1slow gets the other.

This deal is contingent on everyone agreeing on buying the parts as stated above. Reply to this thread and let me know.
