Guaging interest... Bed swap (step for fleet??)
Hey guys,
I have a stepside bed off my 2001 silverado. Its onyx black and the exterior is absolutely flawless. There are some minor scratches inside the bed but even the inside is in excellent shape! Ive been considering a swap for a fleetside bed for awhile now. Mine has a shaved tailgate with relocator and smoked taillights.
Id like to trade straight up for a onyx black Fleetside bed with someone within a reasonable distance because i do not want to ship. Because of the stepsides being worth more and lighter than the fleetsides, id like for it to have a shaved tailgate, rollpan and even candied tails or 03-04 tails but id consider anything. Im being picky but thats what my plans are so it would be better if it came that way of course. I will eventually be doing caddy tails. Must be in mint shape like mine unless your willing to pay to have it sprayed again before we swap.

I have a black 06 fleetside rcsb ordered. cant get the sport side anymore but that is what I really wanted. I dont know if the colors will match but I am located just outside of baton rouge.

There are some scratches on the inside of the bed but nothing deep. I only put stuff back there a couple of times so my bed was never really used. If you want to trade when your truck comes in, ill swap you straight up bed for bed and mine will come with the smoked tails and shaved tailgate with the belltech handle relocator kit. The scratches in the bed are small. Nothing any normal truck wouldnt have. If you got a bedliner, the whole bed would be completly brand new. Let me know what you wanna do. Thanks man!

Sounds like a good idea to me. Truck should arrive in a few weeks. I am definately interested in working something out. I'm not sure what all will be involved in swapping beds. my email address is smit2732@bellsouth.net
