FYI I passed CA smog with flying colors with the same cam in my 03 5.3, only issue was the converter, I shoulda lowered the lockup speed. nice torque curve as well. Bumpy

Im building a 5.3 for my 99 Z28, would this cam have the right power curve for my car or is it better for heavier truck applications? From what I've read alot of the truck guys swear by it. Gives a mean sounding lope also.

I imagine it will be fine in a car too.. You can shift it around 6400-6500. I think it would work just fine and make good power and sound good

kinda small for a car, but it depends on your goals. If you just want a uick daily driver it'd be great. its in my DD with a 3600 stall and the street-ability is great. Idle sounds really good.
