I have an 05 Sierra with throttle sensor issues. I was able to get an 06 gas pedal with wire and sensor. Will it fit the 05 TAC computer? Do any changes need to be made to make it work? I am assuming the module under hood is the same?

The pedal sensors and TAC module changed in 06. You would need something from 03-05.

Someone actually destroyed it so I couldn't drive the truck. They actually ripped the pedal assembly out. A friend of mine at a yard is hooking me up wit an 06 setup. Do I need to cahnge anything on the throttle body as well? I have the 06 TAC coming with pedal.

I would try and stay within my year model. The throttle and pedal position sensors are the most looked at systems on the truck. They supposed to have changed in 06.
