A friend of mine was looking at a low mileage 05 Trailblazer 5.3 motor , all aluminum , for an engine swap . But the oil pan is quite different than the truck pan. It has a front sump with a hole through it, for the steering or an axle shaft , and the oil filter is in the middle of the pan. Does anyone know if you can swap the trailblazer pan for the truck pan ? Is their a difference in the block for oil passages ? I guess what I want to know will a truck ,silverado , oil pan fit it ?
