guys i have an 09 1500 single cab. i have minor hp adders like a tune, volant intake, and spacer. my truck came with 342 gears, which i was going to change out to some 410s this wed.

my question to you gear heads on this board is should i spend my money somewhere else instead of the gears at this point? i mean i could install a pulley and long tube headers for about the same amount, or should i just let my truck rest and get new project to mess with.

oh and my truck does have the stock 20s any advice would be great.

get ya a nice circle-d converter...prolly the best bang for the buck

Agreed, I think gears are a great mod and 4.10's with the factory 20's would be good, but you're not going to see the type of gain from gears that you would from a converter or headers or even a cam.

Biggest grin I ever got when I was heavily modding my 04 GMC crew cab, was the first launch with shift kit, servo, and torque converter, and that was just a 2600.

yeah i had 342 on my 02 and when i installed a pi i really saw a difference.

so then just save up some cash to get my stock tranny race ready.
