Technically they are LT engines. GM is changing back to the LT1 rpo codes on the Gen5 engines.

Im surprised at how many dislikes, it's not perfect but it is an improvement over the 07-13s, the older ones felt and looked like cheap plastic crap, the design of these new ones are not the best but they look a lot better quality to me, quess we won't know till we drive 1. 03-06 are still my favorite

ya not really digging this new design, but if the numbers sound good out of the new 5.3 a new rcsb might be in order. if i had to choose, the sierra looks better imo

I like the one piece front bumper on the new silvy, those ugly *** side bumper caps were terrible , the 2012 HD has the best looking front end IMO.
Gaud that interior is ugly , I agree with you guys there.
What, no more 4.8 ??!
I wish VVT was an option, not the norm. Too many oil / smoke problems.
I like the newer trucks , but love my old NBS trucks more

The VVT has~ 12 additional degrees of manipulation now and the new PCV system is supposed to be huge improvement so hopefully it will be a plus this time around. They have confirmed they are still working on a cam in cam version, which would be huge. All these motors are flex fuel and GM is claiming a 40-80hp increase on E85 for the LT1 version.
