Default 1500 5.3 vs 2500 6.0 Questions

I'm debating on what truck to get. I've been looking at (years 02-06) 1500 5.3 and 2500 6.0. I was wondering what are the pro's and con's of each one? Any common problems with either one? Which one is more reliable?

Before anyone asks this will be my DD, no plowing, and some towing. I do plan on bigger wheels and tires as well. Thanks!

are you wanting a fast truck or more of a work truck? do you need a 3/4 ton's hauling capacity? for a daily driver either will be as reliable as the other, replacement parts will be cheaper for the 1/2 ton. can't go wrong either way really...just depends what you need/want

Not really looking for a fast truck, just a Daily (possibly intake, headers, exhaust, tune). And it will be towing a few years from now though, just to the track, etc..

unless you ever tow anything heavy i wouldn't have a bias either way so i'd go for the most attractive deal you can find in your area.

A 1500 will make a much better daily driver. I daily drive my 2500HD and it's a gas pig.

If you plan on towing anything heavy, I would recommend the 2500. Unless you plan on putting a 4l80 in the 1500.
