1500s with 6L80E.....WHEN?
Ok, does anyone have any info on when we might be able to order a 1500 with the 6 speed auto in it? If this is info that might get you fired please do not post it.....PM me instead.
The last thing I remember seeing somewhere was that by Fall '07 they should be out. Not sure if that meant we'd be able to order one then or they would actually be out for sale. I also read something about the aluminum blocks being out for the 1500s by then also. Confirm?
Thanks

You can get a 1500 serria denali with the 4l80E and 6.2L.
And the L76 vortecmax motor is all aluminum. I know there is a 5.3 aluminum option as well.
But I wonder if when the regular 1500's get them if they will still have the Active fuel managment. I have heard the 08 caddy 6.2ls are suppose to have the AFM added as the 07 doen't. Should help with milage AFM and 6l80E!

Only bad thing to me with the L92 Denalis and Escalades is the 3.42 ratio the only one you can get. Even with the good first gear of the 6l80E I would like and option for 3.73's or even 4.10's.

I heard that the Avalanches now can be ordered with the 6.0L and possibly 6-speed, trying to find out if that is true or not...
The only thing keeping me from buying an Avalanche or Silveraldo is having the 6 speed and a bigger motor than the 5.3L
I have asked some dealers for the info but of course they don't know...
