160 MPH Speedo
I was looking for some nice pictures of SS trucks at silveradoss.com and i found a thread that says blackcatcustoms can easily make a 160 mph speedo for our trucks but they need a reason to work on it i talked to the guy that strated that thread and told me that they need about 20-30 people to make this happen. I went to Back Cat Custom site and it looks like they sell just the gauge face not the whole cluster, I would be interested in only the complete gauge cluster. I have been thinking of purchasing an Escalade cluster from JP Customs.

Would it be an overlay or a complete cluster I already have an escalade cluster I would just like the 160mph gauge. Do you know if they would make it in say 140mph my big heavy *** truck is not going to need a 160mph gauge plus the around town speed limit would be way over to the left.

i'm intrested too... i just dont see how the new face would work ontop of a stock cluster...wouldnt the needle have to be reset or something? But ya, def. would buy one if it was the whole cluster.

It would have to ahve some sort of thing that plugged into the plug for the cluster cause the needle is going to move in accordance with how the cluster is programmed. Either it will have to be a complete cluster or have some sort of adapter to intercept the signal before it gets to the cluster to change the speedo input signal. If it is a complete cluster then I dont want it 120 is enough on my esclade cluster that I think looks better than what they have on their website. Let us know what the deal is Diablo.

i think 160mph is a little bit too much too so i'm gonna ask them if they can make us a 140-150mph speedo(i think parish needs a 200+mph 
). so far I think we got about 5-6 people interested i'm gonna ask them how many orders they need too.

There is a 140 MPH speedo on the Tahoe Police Package cluster, but I don't have the part number. It's on page 32 in the following PDF document: GM Fleet Vehicles.
Maybe Zippy or someone else can locate the part number.
