thts what i was trying to say earlier.. an overlay isnt going to do ****. Idk what kind of place this is thats making it. But they need to understand this isnt for a honda so i can be cool and say "hey look MY speedo goes to 220mph, VTECH BITCH"... we actually want it to work too... ask him how he will recalibrate it so that the speedo will actually function all the way to 150 or 160mph? I mean its a good idea, but honestly, it just doesnt make sense to me.

 

Yeah we need to know more about this design and it better be really nice for that price!

 

i called them again a few minutes ago, i probably heard wrong but the guy told me it's gona cost around 350 bucks(it could be less or more ). and you would have to send them your cluster and they will recalibrate it so it actually works. I think 350bucks it's a lot of money but i would buy one instead of the 140mph tahoe speedo.

 

since gm won't sell you a cluster, they also don't list part numbers. you have to get the part number either from the cluster itself or call the cluster dealer.

 

ohhh okay that clears that up. But ya 350 is a little expesnsive... i would go for maybe 250-275. If he got, lets say 20 ppl to do this... would he come down on the price.. or does he want more like 50 ppl to do it?

 

I think he said 250 - 350 it depends how much it cost them produce it. and 350-500 for a fancy custom one. the guy over at silveradoss.com told me that they need about 20-30 people but i didn't ask that directly to the blackcatcustoms guy.

 

Think I'm just gonna do this with my Denanli cluster...I'm on a budget. Anybody have a part number for translucent white out?

Where do I get one of these at? I''ve never seen 140mph speedo on a Tahoe, is it on the 03 and up?
