Default 1983 GMC (5.3L,4L60E)Work Truck

1983 GMC Shortbed Fleetside with a 2000 5.3L and 4L60E Transmission.
Well I have had it for two weeks now and everyday I find something else to fix or rework on it.The truck run's good but the knick knack BULLSH#T is killing me.Every time I turn around I find something else the idiot who worked on it before me halfa$$ed.Diffenatly a learning experiance, but I will get it right before I am done!
Anyway check it out, atleast it looks pretty cool.

Work truck???Your "work" truck is nicer than most peoples show trucks.I love those body styles, been trying to find one for a daily driver but the short bed fleetsides are hard to come by and most people ask double what they are worth.I found an 85 gmc in good shape...they want 6200.00 for it.I know these trucks bring more than book value but thats double
Any way....sweet ride...I wish it were mine

How much are you asking for this truck? Also what have been a few of the problems you have been having? just out of curiosity. I have been looking for a truck like this to turn into a show truck but I'm not completely sure if I want to do it. This truck would be one that I would definatley look at using for this project however.

The main problem I have had with it is the battery draining down for some reason. When I first got it I found a ground ran wrong which fixed it for a while but every now and then you go to start it and it is just flat out dead(cab light doesn't even flicker)I have had the battery and the altenater checked both are good, although it was Auto Zone that checked them.I am just sorting through it trying to find out what is draining it down.I hate electrical problems!
Once I get it lined out I'll probably ask around $5500 or so for it.

That 83 sho' is clean! It would be a sweet truck even without the added cool factor of the 5.3 et al. Do you have any shots of the interior?

How 'bout some underhood shots while you're at it?
I think that truck is so cool- one of the best body styles combined with the great new drivetrain.
