Default 2000 RCSB Fuel Line Replacement

Hello everyone,

In a bit of a jam currently with my truck and hoping for some help. First time redoing rusted out fuel lines.

2000 RCSB, 2WD, return style, LM7.

Everything is successfully removed. I was planning to go with the Dorman Stainless Braided lines (819-839) due to a lot of raving reviews. However today it arrived and I used the vapor line as a test case and it had such a large amount of extra length I feel I’d have to do 2 - 3 loops (not actually going to do that) to get it short enough to be anywhere near where it’s supposed to hook up by the charcoal canister. So I guess I’ll be returning it.

Can anyone recommend a good fitting system specifically made for RCSB, and not “will fit RC regardless of bed length”? I’ve read LinesToGo stainless is good, but imagine it’s real difficult to get the hardlines snaked up between the transmission and firewall again. Looking at this one:

https://www.linestogo.com/products/chevy-silverado-fuel-line-set-2000-c-k1500-reg-cab-5-3l-non-flex-fuel-ss488-h1e-stainless-steel

Would really appreciate any input and recommendations!

The Dorman part number 919-810 says it's for a standard cab pickup truck.

I think the tank location on a short bed is the same as a long bed because the fuel door never changed location on the bed.

Bed length doesn't matter
