Default 2000 Silverado 2500 HD with nv4500... What's it worth?

Looking to acquire a pickup to modify. Found an extended cab with long bed for less than 3500. It's a 6.0.

Is this a good pickup to start modding? Does this truck have a good powerplant? Is the nv4500 good for racing? How much would you guys pay?

Info is needed ASAP. Thanks in advance!!!!

It has a 6.0 so that's a start but it will be much heavier than a 1500 series truck.

No the NV4500 is not good for racing.

Does it have any rust?
what kind of mileage?
How's the rest of trucks condition?

Kind of hard to figure what something like that is worth without more info.

Have you checked KBB.com for pricing in your area? It should give you a decent idea what there being sold for.

325k, rust, ok interior. Figured I could keep the parts I want, sell the ones I don't and convert to a race truck. Guy wants 1500 obo. Since your stating that it's heavy, it's not really worth it to convert to a race truck? Is their anything I would want from this truck, I.e. gears, axle, rear end? Are these trucks any good other than for towing.

You would probably just end up keeping the motor.

The NV4500 is not worth your time.

Is it 2 or 4wd??? Eclb 2500 is gonna be kinda heavy and the early 6.0s had iron heads and funky crank so, you may not even want that particular engine....

Without seeing it in person,

My self, I would take the Hydroboost assembly and pedal, I like the 14 Bolt 9.5 under those trucks and I convert them to 6 lug. The gauge Cluster Should have a trans temp So I would take that as well. There are some minor interior piece if any of those are in useable shape. It's probally a manual window truck but, if it's power windows, I would take the door harnesses if there not hacked up.

From a Performance standpoint the early Iron headed LQ4's arent worth much but still have some value.

The rest would hit the scrap pile...

Is it easier to put in that rear over the rear end from the h2? Since I can't find what I want, I'm just stick to modding my denali. I already have a spare gauge with the trans temp but is for 04 and up.
