FWIW, The PSC box is made in China. Doesn't matter who you buy it from.

If you have to move the box you might look at the Ram Cummins boxes from like 08 to present. They are extremely heavy duty. I had bought one to try and see if it would bolt in to the chevy frame, but the holes are slightly off.

I did a post comparing the box (PSC clone) I got vs the Cummins. I'll just post the one picture here for size reference... if you want to see the rest of my measurements check this post. https://www.silveradosierra.com/thre...4#post-7381121

The only problem is there likely isn't any support for custom drop pitman arms if you wanted something off the shelf. The arm it came with is a decent drop though.

Dodge cummins box left, PSC HD box clone on right

Thanks for the link and the suggestion! As I don't currently feel there is a lack of assist or strength in the box, I am going to plow forward with the Chevy box- not to mention the plethora of $2 pitman arms at the u-pull yard to experiment with

If I lack assist, I will run a Redneck Ram hydro assist

I saw a prerunner guy on YouTube that built a custom pitman arm by cutting the splined end off a stock pitman arm then turning it down in a lathe and building the rest from 3/16” plate so it was double sheer. It looked really nice and if you had a good metal break you could make it what ever drop you wanted.

Pitman arms are forged steel, they are highly weldable- for anyone who needs to know that

I am not doing heim steering, so the double shear bit won't help me for the Tahoe, but I do have the ability to bend 5/8 plate...... so the option of making my own pitman arm isn't out of the question
