Default 2004 LQ4 6.0 liter sensor and hose question

I am new to the Gen III LQ4 world. I just purchased it for a totally custom 62 ****** project vehicle. I had a custom harness and computer made by Howell Engineering. I also had a custom torque converter made to match the LQ4 with the 95 4L60e transmission.

So far so good, but there is one sensor just behind the TB on the front side of the intake, which has a black plastic hose and a green threaded cap on it. The hose runs to the back of the motor and I have no idea what it is for or if I can remove it. I have researched until I can't take it any more. The harness does not include anything for it. I assume it is for the 4L80e, but really have no idea.

The motor came from a 2004 Suburban with a 4L80e. I only purchased the motor as I already had a high performance 4L60e built that I was planning to use with a 95 TBI 5.7. But now I plan to use for this project.

Can someone please look at these photos and tell me what it is and if I can remove it, cap it off, or what I should do?

I appreciate any advice you can provide. By the way, here is the vehicle it is going in. Soon ready for paint. Candy Apple Wine with Silver accents and Gun Metal Gray bumpers, rocker guards. It sits on 41" IROK Radials and Mickey Thompson 17x9 Alloy wheels and massively built and narrowed Dana 60 axles. It also has brand new black leather seats that are 6 way power and a nice center console. This motor/trans will make this ****** really move and look beautiful.

Thanks in advance! I apologize if this is not the correct place to post this question.

That is for the evap. It goes back to the evap canister on our trucks. You can tune it out on pcm and be good. I dont run it on my truck.

^^ what he said!

but that back plug in the last pic of the motor is your oil pressure sensor -your going to want to have that!

i would say 85% of the wiring harness is useless! you really only need the basics - air/fuel, spark, cam/crank sensor, t-stat unit... you get the point; components to make the motor run... everything else is a check and recheck of the engines performance for longevity

BTW, cool f-ing project! I love it!

Thank you much. Actually the last pic is me holding the other end of the hose.

As for the Oil Pressure Sensor, yes I plan to keep that. But can I just replace it with my Auto Meter Sender? Or is the stock sensor in the photo going to the PCM and needed like it was on the 5.7? I just made a T to keep the OEM sensor, while adding my AM sender. If I can just remove it with the special tool and put in my own sender that would be awesome.

2nd part of the question is can I remove the Evap sensor and hose and make a plate to cover the hole? I would rather not have the hose or sensor if possible.

I had Howell remove all the unnecessary components from the harness and computer. They also mapped it to the high output settings to get maximum HP and TQ. I can't wait to get this thing in.
