It is because they cant call both body styles silverado.(new and old) So they have the 800 a classic and the new 900 a silverado.

They did the same thing in 1999

You could get the OBS 1999 with the 5.7L or the NBS 1999 with the 5.3L

Well damn I was waiting to get a new silverado GMT-900 with a 6.2L pretty quick! The SOB's better make the engine an option they would be retarded not to have the 6.2 in the trucks! I would pay extra for the motor!

Yeah I know! It's just a waste to have it out there and not be able to to order it! I would expect it in the SS first!

I would at least like a picture of the new silverado anyway to get an idea of what to expect I am tired waiting!!!

Likewise with the 6L80. They'll screw everybody for the first year just like Dodge did in 2002 (all those poor bastards who bought fully loaded 4.7 liter trucks and then the Hemi came out a year later with 100 more hp, killing their resale).

I'd be extremely happy to be wrong!

Maybe sombody should call GM and tell them what we want! Or start writing letters, E-mails, or petitions something!

They need some thing to keep up with the new 6.1 Hemi!

I'm not surprised. I think GM did this for the 1999 model year too. I wonder if there is going to be any badging to identify it as a "Classic".
