I'm sure they have some bullshit reason as usual. Insurance, no market/demand blah blah blah. You're right they should make it or at least an L92, but Toyota's beat them to the punch with thier RCSB 5.7.

That'll probably come sooner than an SRT-10 killer. This whole website is full of guys that are creating trucks similar to what they wished for when they bought it. Big ci RCSB's with 6spds, steep gears, FI etc.

If the bean counters have more pull then what the public wants via focus groups, then retro a friggin' Canyon/Colorado like a Syclone and your done. The old guys will get on it because it's retro and fast. The young guys will dig it because it's a turbo AWD vehicle that's fast. The bean counters will like it, because it'll knock down 30mpg. Aftermarket will be happy too. World's fastest truck...again.

Rant off.

Amen Brother!

the ls7/t56 rcsb is already available, but only as a conversion by a aftermarket company/tuner

i doubt gm will EVER produce a rcsb truck with over 400hp in this generation, it could compete with the vette and they wont do that, we might get a detuned verison of that motor but nothing within 5-10hp of it, even though the vette weighs a good bit less than a rcsb

Agreed, but now that the factory guys are screwing the new L92 into the Sierra Denali it should be a fairly simple matter overall to drop that package in yourself (Tuning aside which could get odd due to VVT, etc)...

I wish the manufacturers would stop treating reg cab buyers as second rate people. Thing is, the tundra can be ordered with 380hp (very impressive to drive BTW, shame about the rest) so I think GM might feel some heat to build their own.

I'm pretty sure since I just bought an 07, they'll do it 08

havent heard of the 6l90 trans but the LSX block is an aftermarket block ONLY not a production piece, its not even a short block, long block, or a complete motor, just a block

LS7 is king of production GM motors at the present time

I think he meant 6l80, the L92 6.2L is a crate engine but a bit $$$$$$$$ would be fine starting point and pretty much easy drop in....
