Default 2008 Suburban off-road bumper???

My buddy got a 2008 Tahoe as his new work truck. He is looking for an offroad bumper but it seems there are none since the bumper and the grille are all once piece.

Does anyone know of someone that makes a bumper?

i would say one option is to swap out grill/bumper and put a truck grill on it and then a off road bumper would work. I have never paid attention to it being a one piece and i have one sitting out side of my office. I walked out and checked. lol

That is one option I had considered as well, or to get a crashed bumper from body shop, and cut off the grille. But, I am unsure if the truck grille is a direct bolt on to the suburban/tahoe. I have both at home, so I am going to check tonight.

dunno about the truck bumper and/or grille, but how about a grille from a avalanche? the avy's and tahoe/burbans look pretty close

I saw several border ptrol vehicles where it looks like they just cut the grille and the bumper apart and put an off road bumper on the tahoe's and suburbans.

Anyone else seen anyhting for tahoe or suburban?

Might contact these guys: http://www.southtexasoutfitters.com/Default.php
They do some odd ball stuff.

There is a new Escalade or Denali around here that has a full replacement on it, probably a one-off custom job. If I see it again I'll try to get some info about it.
