What ever if it is void it is void... I can't get them to do anything with the knock noise that last 3-4 seconds only when cold started anyways... I am going to get rid of the truck in 4 years anyways by then it will have 40,000 or so miles and will give it away so I can get a new duramax.

You should have nothing to worry about then. The bulletin outlines a GM procedure regarding GM warranty, and requires using a GM scantool.
BUT, if you have the work done by a GM dealer, and they tell your aftermarket warranty about the tune & bulletin, you'd probably be screwed.
Just don't take your truck to the dealer.

Well it only started after the oil pump went out and I started my vehcile twice for 10 seconds each with no oil pressure and my oil filter was full of fine metal as well. I had my oil analized and they said it was a lot of metal, but I haven't done another oil change to have it tested again.

I would pray to Mr Jack Daniel, Captain Morgan, Mr Jim Beam and all of their friends
on that one. Maybe call them over for a meeting. Sunday morning, no, Saturday night
and let them stay.
Just kidding, good luck.

Ahh, well you never said that!
So, your warranty already covered the oil pump problem? If they did, and you are having continuing problems, notify them and open the claim back up. You shouldn't even have to pay a second decuctible if it was recent. Expect them to do this:
1: You will need to take it to the shop & authorize inspections & teardown.
2: They will likely send a mechanical breakdown inspector (typically an independent contractor in your area) to inspect your vehicle for mods, abuse, and maintenance history. He will also verify that the repairs are actually needed & that the claim is not fraudulent.
3: After inspections are completed, they will review the claim & decide how & if they will participate in the repairs.
If your claim is denied, you will be responsible for the bill at the shop. Whatever you have done after that is up to you.
If your claim is approved, they will probably approve a repair to the engine vs. replacement. If you wanted to, you could ask to replace the engine and pay the price difference. I think they use the term "betterment".
Good luck to you!
