I wanna know what engine options they will have. I have heard all kinds of rumors. I think a twin turbo ecotec from a cobalt or turbo 4.3 would be an awesome replacement for the 4.3 / 4.8 motors. Ford really had the right idea putting a boosted 6cylinder under the hood with these gas prices. 30mpg with 450hp would be F-in sweet!!!

I know the Trailblazer SS from inception/prototype to production was only 4 years.
I was gonna say this earlier. The Viper was what 18 mos. concept - reality? Or close to it. GM just moves slower. A lot. But when they do, they strike.

Funny u say that. I just mentioned < 2 hrs. ago GM needs to revisit the 4.5L diesel in a 1/2 ton idea. It'd sell like mad & get great MPG to boot. Too bad it was stillborn when GM went thru their restructuring / bankruptcy b.s.
And yes, that EcoBoost is neat, I just read a bit ago 400HP is really easy to achieve on em. Smaller motors are comin & here to stay IMO. We need to get used to it & adapt. Bottom line.
I don't see the turbo 4.3 idea happening again, we did that on Syclones & Typhoons but a TT Ecotec would be cool!!!
Lightweight, great MPG, & go like stink.

Those sy's/ty's were badass! I always wanted they ty! Just wasn't much of a market for them in those days. Seems like everyone else was interested in the turbo buicks in the 80's and turbo TA in 89. If ecotec was revised and put into a truck it would be amazing! 9Krpm in a truck! Only shitty thing would have to be lack of lowend grunt!

True, & the Sy/Ty's still are today. They had a high premium to buy & still command decent prices. Myself I'd take a Sy.

I just saw a Typhoon the other day, that pastel teal color, not really my 1st color choice. A female owned it, but still.
The Turbo Buicks.

The Buicks & T T/A had 3.8L, the trucks 4.3L. Wonder how many used the extra cubes from the Sy / Ty's in their car counterparts?

Ecotec IIRC can take 650+ HP, but I forgot how much more. I knoiw I read it before, so they're really strong. Never thought I'd say that bout a 4 cyl. but GM did their homweork on those & the LS's.

The 4.5 diesel half ton would be awesome, especially in a reg. cab. I wish they would offer the colorado here with the diesel like they do in other countries.

Im to lazy to go through 5 pages of " its ugly" comments, but am I the only one that sees the nnbs chevy in that concept picture? I think it must be a old concept picture from before the nnbs came out, same bumper design, same flared out sheet metal on the fenders, head lights and grille have the same basic shape along with the body lines around the cab windows

I wouldn't give a **** as long as it was available with a 400+hp V8 (or the 4.5 diesel we never got) and had the ability to tuck 35s without being jacked up 6+ inches. Form follows function. If that goes to production it will be calmed down; the hardware will be the important question.
